May is here

One of Jerylin's great Craigslist buys is Talen's new house. We have it in the court yard until they move to the new house. Talen just loves it.

Hello, do you want to come in and play?

Driving his big tractor, it has pedals and it will be great when he can reach them. Right now he wants to be pushed around the yard.
Playing in his dune sand that his Pappa brought back from the last dune trip. It is the finest sand ever.
Swimming in Jamma's tub-should be easy to teach Talen to swim he already puts his head in and blows bubbles and kicks his feet. Too Funny.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

We celebrated Easter the way we did when the kids were little and had an Easter egg hunt followed by brunch. The kids had a great time hunting and the two littlest ones Talen and his cousin Torin caught on quickly.

The day was perfect and with several generations celebrating together, it was just as God intended- a real celebration of Life.

Cousins Makayla and Dani had a harder time finding their special eggs.

Torin off and running with his Mom and Grandmothers following close behind.

Bryce being two now still needed a bit of help from his Mom Danette and Uncle Christopher.

Cooling off in the pool with Daddy after all the fun. Talen was a real trooper, he really wasn't feeling very good-alergy season is here in full force and with all the winter rain will be a long one. Talen was his usual laid back self not letting ruin anyones fun including his own.

Talen's garden is producing

Pappa shows Talen that his tomato plant has a surprise for him.
With our bunny problem we have to garden in pots.

There it is-oh look there are two red ones.

Eating his harvest.

Coloring Easter Eggs

What fun we had coloring eggs. It has been a while since we have done this and what a joy to share the fun with Talen. He really got into it and only broke a few.

Talen had lots of help from his Mama and Dada, Jamma, Grammy, Aunt Debbie and Aunt Becky. He took it very serious as he does most things, he's always thinking hard.

He really loved what happened to the eggs, although without thinking Jamma used coffe cups for the die and now Talen reaches in everyones coffee cups looking for eggs-sorry Jerylin.

Teila and Talen

Getting ready to head to the dunes. Jonathan got a new helmet and of course Talen thought it was for him.

Couldn't find a sweater small enough for Teila so cut holes in a sock-worked great.

Jamma's birthday present-a Chihuahua we named Teila.
Tess and Talen have a new friend. They have both adjusted to having her around and think she is great.

A Day with Pappa

Friday was Talen's day with Pappa. Jamma was around too but Talen didn't seem to notice. The guys started their day reading the sports section while waiting for their breakfast. Talen then spent most of the morning showing his Pappa how to play with all his toys.

We had to wait for it to warm up a bit and then they were outside doing chores. One of Talen's favorite activities is to have you blow him with the yard blower. He won't let you stop once you have begun and it is the funniest thing to watch.

Then it was off to Home Depot, Pappa bought some trees to put where we took out some earlier this year and the two of them planted while Jamma and Mamma watched. Talen thought Pappa dug the hole just for him to climb into.

January

All is good here in Jamma Land. Talen keeps me laughing and learns something new everyday. He adds words to his vocabulary but still has his own language for us to try and figure out. I am so happy to have the time to spend with him. He loves to be outside, yea for the warm Arizona winters that let us be out in the sunshine almost everyday.

Wheels are still the big thing for him and he will try to ride anything. lawn mowers, wheelbarrows, you name it. If it has a motor and goes brumm brumm even better. He has mastered the go button on his quad which goes over just about everything. Now if he could just try steering. He goes until he runs into something and then just sits there-wheels a turning-waiting for you to come and turn it around.

This is his sign for airplane and he will stop what he is doing no matter where we are and put his hand on his head if he hears one.-even in the house.

The dogs are still his playmates. He calls them all by name and loves to throw balls with them-he has to say one two three before every throw which is so cute.

Jedi trys to end the game by placing all the balls in his mouth so Talen can't get them. You would think that would stop him but no-he just goes in and gets them. Brave baby.
Talen is very generous with his hugs and again the dogs are very good to let him squeeze them. Poor little Tess gets squished every now and then.

Just hanging out with his buddy. Jedi has three balls in his mouth at this point-crazy dog.

This was Pappa's (or Elvis as he is known in his circle of friends) Christmas hat. It plays music and Talen loves music and loves to dance. He used to just like to listen to the hat play now he puts it on and wants it on so he can dance-so funny. Future King of Rock and Roll!

Breakfast time- I feed the dogs at the same time but they never seem interested in their food until Talen's bowl is empty. This is the look that says-"I didn't feed my oatmeal to them-honest Jamma I didn't"

Hondah is the most tolerant when it comes to having Talen in her food dish. Tess and Jedi are a bit more stingy with their food.

When Hondah didn't cooperate Talen just picked up the dish and took it in the office, Hondah had to eat the rest out of his hand if she wanted any.
