End of Summer

Wow, I don't know what happened to the time, the days and weeks have just flown by. After being home for over a year it has been hard to get in the swing of things now that I am working. I love my job, I am a deliver driver for a dental lab and spend my day visiting dentist offices, they have the nicest people. I work two weeks and then I am off a week. The Schedule is great giving me my time with Talen while Jerylin works.

It has been a long hot summer and since Talen and I love to be outside much of our time has been in the pool or with the hose as we try to keep the plants alive in the heat. Today we spent the morning out planting some fall flowers and some tomatos and squash. There is more planting to be done but it will have to wait. It is good to get out and get dirty, Talen is a great help and loves planting right along side me.
We try to visit others while Talen is over, our breakfast with Great Grandma and Grandpa Klettlinger are always a good way to start the day. Great Grandma and Grandpa Kennedy help babysit here and there so that Jerylin can work, it is a lot of fun for all three of them. Having lunch with Uncle Adam is always a good time and Adam gets him to eat all kinds of stuff.

We ran into Pappa one day while we were at the vet with little Teila. Talen thought it was great fun to drive Pappa's big truck and now when ever he sees a Fed Ex truck he waves hi to his Pappa.

Jerry had hernia surgery this summer and was off work for a few weeks. Of course he wasn't alone. Talen and Pappa had a lot of one on one time while Jerylin and I were at work. It was funny because Jerry never watched his own kids for more than an hour by himself let alone all day. The two of them have such a special relationship and it is wonderful to see them together.

We went to pump it up where there are all kinds of things to do indoors, too hot to go outside. Talen got his Pappa to try all the stuff and it's not easy climbing around on those air filled slides.

Water is your friend in Arizona and Talen loves it. In the pool or at the water park Talen loves it.

It is hard to believe our little baby will be two years old in a week. He is growing up so fast and has really brought so much joy into our lives. How blessed we are to be able to spend so much time with all our family.

Starting out Early

Up until yesterday Talen thought the lawn mower was just another toy to ride. He would clime on it and make his motor noise,brumm-brumm.
Now he knows that it is what Pappa uses to mow the yard, and what ever Pappa does he wants to do too!!!
Talen pushed the lawn mower with his Pappa until the entire lawn was done, and there is a lot of grass to mow. He never wanted to quit though. I only hope that he wants to do it for his Pappa when he gets older and we are too old to do it any more.

Visiting Mama at school

Talen and I got to attend the preschool graduation at Jerylin's school. Of course Talen was the hit of the party! Another school year ends.

Eating Icecream

oh boy does Talen love his icecream cones. Just don't ask him if he is done too soon or you get "the look".

Mr Personality

Whether it's sharing a relaxing moment drinking his juice or warming up on Jedi's warm soft body after a swim in the pool-Talen just loves this dog.

In Arizona water is your friend-Talen is learning to swim and is already blowing bubbles and kicking his feet. He loves playing with a squirt bottle or the hose to cool off too.

Helping his Mama blow out her 29th birthday candles. It didn't take him any time at all to devour his icecream cone. When he came over he was dressed in his hat that he had to wear, even though it was a warm day. Not much fashion sense here but he sure is cute.

Hanging out with our freinds the Vandenbergs is always fun. Talen got to check out the new trampoline-he didn't like it too much. HE wanted all the balls and tried and tried to pick them all up at once. Mama didn't have her suit with her so Talen got to swim with Denny. His favorite game is 1-2-3 dunk-this goes on until your arms want to drop off.

May is here

One of Jerylin's great Craigslist buys is Talen's new house. We have it in the court yard until they move to the new house. Talen just loves it.

Hello, do you want to come in and play?

Driving his big tractor, it has pedals and it will be great when he can reach them. Right now he wants to be pushed around the yard.
Playing in his dune sand that his Pappa brought back from the last dune trip. It is the finest sand ever.
Swimming in Jamma's tub-should be easy to teach Talen to swim he already puts his head in and blows bubbles and kicks his feet. Too Funny.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

We celebrated Easter the way we did when the kids were little and had an Easter egg hunt followed by brunch. The kids had a great time hunting and the two littlest ones Talen and his cousin Torin caught on quickly.

The day was perfect and with several generations celebrating together, it was just as God intended- a real celebration of Life.

Cousins Makayla and Dani had a harder time finding their special eggs.

Torin off and running with his Mom and Grandmothers following close behind.

Bryce being two now still needed a bit of help from his Mom Danette and Uncle Christopher.

Cooling off in the pool with Daddy after all the fun. Talen was a real trooper, he really wasn't feeling very good-alergy season is here in full force and with all the winter rain will be a long one. Talen was his usual laid back self not letting ruin anyones fun including his own.
